I totally agree with you. I rewatched S1 and notice the difference in enhanced animations/enchanting graphics in S2.,,I have a feeling it'll give interesting surprises to enjoy.

yup i benched watched s1 before starting s2 and yup they upped the quality from s1 to s2 and I'm happy they did it shows how well received this anime is over all even thou it might be a bit of an underrated jem in terms of popularity

For those who have not read the novel, the reason Han Li keeps talking about "I have to escape from this place soon!" is because he has survived up till now by having an extremely cautious personality. He is not overly ambitious and while he makes lots of calculations and back up plans and trump card...they are not about achieving any great ambition other that staying alive. He is obsessed with achieving immortality and of course that involves not getting killed. So, when he smells danger approaching, his first thought is to escape. In many ways Han Li is a cowardly little mouse, but also in many ways he exemplifies and personifies what immortal cultivation is all about.

He is a pragmatist.

Yes indeed, he sure is dedicated to his cause and won't let anything, not even death lol, get in his way of achieving it. Even if it means taking loses or the high road letting others insult/disrespect him, just as long as they don't try to physically hurt him, he'll most likely let it go and continue on his journey to immortality.

He's been so close to dying more than he has fingers so he definitely tries to evade trouble at all cost, from small to large ones, as small ones can lead to big problems which could lead to either hindering his progress for short amount of time or indefinitely aka crippled or his death. He's pretty smart in my eyes, not worried about the BS, only focused on his path, as he'll get the last laugh in the end (if he is successful) and most of those troublemakers end up like the ones in the past/recent episodes lol...DEAD ☠️ 💀 🤷🏽‍♂️.

It's kind of fun to watch Han Li teacher and the trader bickering. Plus those aristocrat disciples really got on my nerves.

really like this show. also love the character design and the fighting animation. its so fluid compared to the other cgi shows and the best part of it is..the story is actually cohesive. forgot to add..unlike some CGI show that i dropped awhile back this guy put in in the effort and he had no "op skill" or "cheat" to make this life easier. this guy is all about instinct and planning.

He's truly a marvelous MC, he's been so close to dying so many times and his triumphs were realistically satisfying and unlike many MC's who just somehow beat their enemies, they showed us how he used his enemies strengths and weaknesses against them capitalizing off of their arrogance and his determination, his intelligence, utilizing his experiences & knowledge + with a little luck to gain advantage to come up on top as the last man left. He has been surviving this whole time, by threads 🧵, while others technically better, badder, stronger, more powerful and knowledgeable than him (who most let ego & pride kill them) have met an untimely death aka had a date with Hades. He's learned from all them and their mistakes, so you can understand his desperation of achieving immortality.

This is definitely one of my favorite series from Donghua to Japanese anime. The animation and details in the art is beautifully done and overall just a work of art, a precious jewel 💎. You should check out the others as well, there's so many just as great or even better, hmu if you need some sauce lol.

I like that the show is showing authors of other Xianxia novels like Er Gen as cameos. FYI I love his 4 novels. Wang LIn in Renegade Immortal, Su Ming in Persuit of the Truth, Meng Hao in I Shall seal the heavens and Bai Xiaochun in A will eternal. The last were are pure golld, BC in AWE made me laugh the most. Meng Hao is shameless made me laugh too. "Strip the temple clean of all its loot, going so far as to scrape the tiles off the floor" lol
